Haryana State Wide Area Network (SWAN)


·         State Wide Area Network (SWAN) has been implemented by Hartron on behalf of Department of Information Technology, Haryana and is fully operational since November 2007. Under this network, State Headquarter had been connected with all district headquarters, Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh, Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi and 124 Block/Sub Division/Tehsils/Sub-Tehsils for providing facilities such as inter and Intra data transfer/sharing, video, etc.  This network is fully integrated with NIC network as well.


·         Head offices and field offices of departments of Haryana State such as Revenue, Treasury, Transport, Panchayat, PWD, Agriculture, Education, Excise & Taxation, Health, Police, Social Justice, Urban Local Bodies, Election, etc. have been connected horizontally on this network for running their applications and other day to day work.


·         All the courts of Haryana, jails including High Courts at Chandigarh have also been connected on this network and online trials are being conducted through video conferencing on regular basis. In addition to this the video conferencing facility provided to the courts of Haryana is also being extended to the Government Hospital to facilitate the Doctors for recording their evidence in medico legal cases from their respective hospitals. 


·         Also, Police WAN of Haryana Police has been converged on this network and about 377 offices of Haryana Police including Police Stations are using this network for their day to day activities as well as running of their applications including crime and control tracking network system (CCTNs).


·         The Network is also being used as an access point for all the applications being hosted/collocated on Haryana State Data Centre. 

Haryana State Data Centre (SDC)


·         The State Data Centre (SDC) for Haryana has been implemented by Hartron on behalf of Department of Electronics & Information Technology with the approval from Department of Information Technology, Govt. of India to be implemented by HARTRON. This data centre was formally declared operational on 14.08.2012.


·         The data centre is fully equipped to host/co-locate systems (e.g. Web Servers, Application Servers, Database Servers, SAN and NAS etc.)/applications/services of various departments and support connectivity infrastructure (Haryana State Wide Area Network) for its adequate and optimum utilization.


·         The data centre has a capacity to host 27 fully populated racks with fully functional Building Management System (BMS) for monitoring of Non-IT products & Enterprise Management System (EMS) for monitoring of IT Infrastructure has also been implemented.  65 departments of the State Government have either hosted or co-located their applications in this data centre.


·         The data centre is also offering cloud enabled environment wherein 78 virtual machines have been provided to various State Government departments.
